Thank you to all that attended Kite Soldiers. I have never seen so many kites in the sky. Riders from all over the country represented snowkiting this weekend in Idaho. I met people from Chicago, Kentucky, California, Hood River, Bend Oregon, Seattle, Montana, Utah, Florida and many other places not to mention a great local turnout. Those of you who arrived Friday were able to enjoy strong East winds blowing around 20. Saturday, I changed the event location and made a few phone calls to the man turning the wind faucet. He was reluctant at first and thought we would settle for sun and blue sky's. It took some convincing but when I told him about the amazing turnout and enthusiasm, he turned on the wind. We had 65 kiters registered for Kite Soldiers and enjoyed a steady 15-20 east wind well into dusk.
